4th Tanzania Cybersecurity Forum closes strong.
The fourth annual Tanzania Cybersecurity Forum closed in Dar es Salaam with 300+ participants, practitioners, regulators, academics, and student finalists from CPL. The forum is the largest cybersecurity convening in the country, and this year's theme, Inclusive Cyber Resilience, set the tone for every panel.
What we covered
Three days, eight panels, and a closing capture-the-flag exhibition. The conversations that ran longest weren't about tools, they were about workforce, governance, and how Tanzania builds resilience at scale.
- Day 1, National cybersecurity strategy and the role of public-private collaboration.
- Day 2, Talent pipelines: who's training the next 10,000 defenders.
- Day 3, Inclusive cyber resilience: women, PWDs, and underserved regions.
What changed in the room
Forum closings usually produce statements of intent. This one produced commitments with names attached, a new MoU between Sanifu and a national regulator on accessible cyber training, and three universities formally joining the CPL pipeline starting next season.
“If we keep training defenders the way we used to, we'll keep producing the cyber workforce we have. We need the workforce we don't have yet.”
Forum recordings and panel summaries are being prepared for release alongside the 2025 Annual Report. The 2026 forum will run in October, early-bird invitations open in June.
