I came to Sanifu from the policy side, and I will be honest, I expected the usual gap between what training programs promise and what actually reaches people. I wanted to see the numbers up close before I put my name to any reform.
What I found was an organisation that could show me its outcomes learner by learner. That changed how we worked together. We stopped drafting policy in the abstract and started writing rules around evidence of what was really keeping people out.
Turning practice into policy
Together we pushed for accessibility standards to be written into public digital training, not added on afterward. It is slow work, and much of it is unglamorous. But rules outlast programs, and getting the rules right means the next thousand learners do not have to fight the same battles.
